About SWAT.
SWAT was established in 1967 by LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department). SWAT is short for Special Weapons And Tactics and that is what they do. They are basically police with a bit more training, and fancier gear :)
Getting the SWAT look!  
Well, your image of a swat person is probably all black with a lot of ninja features, and an mp5... well, mine too :)
Lets start at the top, you will need a helm like this one, a balaclava and a set of goggles. Next would be an all black or dark blue flight suit that you can pick up at your local "army store". For the vest, this one will look good if you want a crossdraw vest, but if you want a vest and a leg holster; this vest and this holster will work great!

Now it's starting to look like something! However we are still missing something like these pads, gloves and weapons! The weapon SWAT are associated with are mp5's mainly. If preferred you can have a drop leg pouch or a huge knife on your left leg, haha. Remember proper shoewear aswell.

If you are going to get the airsoft weapon you will most likely find prices ranging from $125-$150+ i recommend you to buy it at Evike as they have extremely good and reliable customer service and shipping. :)

Facts about the real steel!

The UTG type 96 is a replica of the Accuracy International AW (Arctic Warfare). The AW is a bolt action sniper rifle. There are many versions of the AW, the most known however is most likely the AWP (Arctic Warfare Police) which is known from a lot of games, such as Counter Strike. The list is long, so i wont name them all. The AW series was first introduced during the cold war in Great Britain as the L96A1, which is used in Call of Duty Black Ops. Facts about the airsoft version!

The type 96 is basically a clone of the brand maruzen's version of it, so it is compatible with a lot of upgrades from several huge airsoft selling stores. As the real version it is a bolt action rifle. The type 96 is spring operated and the spring is cocked by pulling the bolt back.


Upgrades:
Barrel - For this particular airsoft, the barrel length is 499 mm, and the price for a quality 6.01 mm ranges from $80 for EDGI's version (Barrel for use with PDI hop-up, Barrel for use with the stock hop-up) to the state of the art $160 PDI 6.01 inner barrel :)
Hop-up - PDI hop-up is probably the best out there, but remember; if you buy the PDI inner barrel and the PDI hop up, you will need a hop-up bucking.
Spring - You have to choose spring based on the rest of your upgrades, if you upgrade your spring, but not your trigger, the stock trigger will most likely break ;(
Cylinder - Any cylinder from Evike that they say is compatible will work, and  if you want the best of the best you should get PDI cylinder set ;) Remember that the parts of the cylinder are: Cylinder, cylinder head, piston, spring, spring guide ;)
Trigger - "zero" trigger from king arms, probably one of the best triggers you can get ;)


Astetichs - There are alot of upgrades, if you are extreme you can even get hands on a light weight duraluminium receiver, but the thing most of you are focused on is probably a silencer! I recommend you get this silencer adapter for your type 96, and any silencer of your choice ;)

Out of the box specs:
Out of the box this gun shoots pretty precise with some hop-up tuning, and scope adjustment, however; when i use this gun stock i dont feel like i have that big upperhand on range... It's usable as a sniper, but i highly recommend upgrading it if you have the money and time ;) The gun is made of metal, except for the stock ofcourse, the trigger, the back plate and the cheek rest, the magazine is also made of metal. You can attach a bipod and a scope, I recommend attaching a scope, the bipod is almost only handy if you are shooting for training on targets ;) The magazine capacity is 30 rounds. If you buy this gun it will come with a sling and a speed loader, the speed loader is OK, but the sling is very poor quality (DO NOT use the sling in other words).

FPS stock: 450ish
